Kinsel Point is Built with post-tensioned (P/T) concrete.
Post-tensioned (P/T) concrete, is a premium structural system consisting of concrete columns and an 8" concrete slab with a series of steel tendons combined to suspend the concrete. P/T construction offers several advantages to homeowners over conventional wood framed construction as listed
below:

  • Open plans are possible as interior bearing walls are not required.
  • Balconies are more durable.
  • Larger exterior windows due to absence of load bearing exterior walls.
  • Sound transfer is greatly reduced due to the density of concrete.
  • Longevity of concrete creates attractive future resale possibilities.
  • Concrete structure experiences less movement than a wood-framed building.
In conjunction with the P/T concrete, Kinsel Point has a sound deadening mat beneath gypsum underlayment and a hung ceiling which improves on an already superior system.
